Hi everyone,

This week we are pleased to have Sam Shepherd (Vanderbilt) speaking about
cubulated groups, title and abstract below. As usual, the talk will be on
Thursday at 2:50pm in WH 100E.

The speaker will be delivering the talk remotely, and we'll project it in
WH 100E. In case you can't make it and would like to join remotely, you can
join at the link:

https://binghamton.zoom.us/j/94800072611

I'll be doing a "seminar lunch" again either at the picnic table outside or
in the dining hall, depending on the weather. Join me in front of WH100E
around noon if interested!

Best,
Cary

Title: Semistability of cubulated groups
Abstract: I will discuss my theorem that cubulated groups are semistable at
infinity, together with background on these two concepts. I will also
present a result about modifying the cubulation of a group to achieve
certain geometric features, which is needed to prove the semistability
theorem.
