      <i><br>Abstract:</i><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px;border-collapse:collapse"></span>  Farrell and Jones constructed codimension one Anosov diffeomorphisms on<br>
manifolds that are homeomorphic to tori but have exotic smooth structures.<br>
In a joint work with Tom Farrell we use a different method to construct<br>
Anosov diffeomorphisms of higher codimension on manifolds that are<br>
homeomorphic to infranilmanifolds yet have irreducible exotic smooth<br>
structures.</div></div></div></div>
