Hi everyone,

In response to the cancellation, Daniel has offered to give an informal
talk this week, title and abstract below. So come on by if you'd like to
see it!

Best,
Cary

=========================================
*Informal chat title*: Finding locally finite groups in the abstract
commensurator of a free group
*Not an abstract*: The abstract commensurator of a nonabelian free group is
a certain generalization of the automorphism group that, while countable,
is a "big" group that is not well understood. I will explain why this group
contains "every countable arrangement of finite groups", using a very
concrete computation involving covering spaces of finite graphs (joint with
Edgar A Bering IV).
